KDE5.8: 2 issues - clock-display and ssh-add

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

[harry@srv-rhsoft:~]$ cat /home/harry/.config/autostart/ssh-add.desktop
[Desktop Entry]
Exec=/usr/bin/ssh-add ~/.ssh/id_ecdsa ~/.ssh/id_rsa
Name=SSH-Key
Type=Application

does no longer get startet and so i need to issue ALT+F2 -> ssh-add ~/.ssh/id_ecdsa ~/.ssh/id_rsa

since that two works (OnlyShowIn=KDE because i want only ssh-add.desktop in a openbox session where it still works)

[harry@srv-rhsoft:~]$ cat /home/harry/.config/autostart/kopete.desktop
[Desktop Entry]
Exec=kopete
Name=Messenger
Type=Application
OnlyShowIn=KDE

[harry@srv-rhsoft:~]$ cat /home/harry/.config/autostart/firefox.desktop
[Desktop Entry]
Exec=firefox
Name=Firefox
Type=Application
OnlyShowIn=KDE

the clock in the panel:

the font is now way smaller (and without change it to bold at least for me unreadable) then previously BUT it's wasting the same space (see attached screenshot - a ridicolous amount of wasted space) AND the whole font-selection for the clock is *completly useless* for years because you can't specify a font-size which makes most of them useless

additionally because of the middle-alignment most fonts can't be used at all if you also show the seconds because the clock moves left/right when the width changes depending on the current numbers with proportional fonts
