Further attempts to install xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-304xx once more failed 
to build the kmod.  After dnf remove-ing it and checking that rpm -qa | 
grep nvidia returned nothing, dnf install xorg-x11-drv-nouveau has 
brought back a working system.
