So sadly I had to use the nV drivers from RPMfusion for the time being :-( Which confirms this was the issue, the plus side is I can use qupzilla again. I will run more tests with nouveau and your suggestions when I get some free time again. Sure hope it gets fixed soon so I can return to Nouveau.
