oh come on, move 80 tiny files from a sftp folder blocks the control bar and half of the desktop for 30 seconds while the files already displayed in the target folder

you can move some other windows which are not overlapped at that time

you can try to drag&drop those files to thunderbird in a local folder (emal files from a honeypot), that hangs, after whatever time period ends the whole desktop flickers aorund making all the actions you previously tried to do and in the systray "files moved" confirmation appears

on a 4 x 3.5 GHz machine with 16 GB RAM in a Gigabit-LAN? seriously?

* open Konqueror with a local tab
* open a second tab with a sftp destination
* selected 40 files
* right click -> cut
* switch tab
* right click -> paste
* the complete desktop don't respond
* go in the kitchen and smoke a cigarette
* come back
* the konqeueror window responds
* taskbar is still frozen, no switch to a different window
* klick around
* notification "files are moved...."
* desktop responds again

reproducable repeatable, well, that will end in smoking 60 cigarettes
instead 40 per day............
