"kcmshell4 gtk" only allows to select a single gtk+ theme, and only shows gtk2 themes (in my case oxygen-gtk and Raleigh). If xsettings-kde gets its value from there, it will only work properly for the users who want to use the same theme for both gtk versions. I prefer keeping oxygen-gtk2 (so at least some gtk applications are properly integrated in KDE), so I have to choose something else for gtk3.
