Indeed, in such cases it can be useful to have multiple window instances of an app opened simultaneously. I actually use multi-monitor setups sometimes, but apparently somehow I never came across the situation of having the same app opened on two screens --- it has always been two different apps in my usecases. :-) Nevertheless, I see your point.
