Hi, is anybody interested in showing off the shiny new Plasma 5 stuff on Fedora at the Vienna Linux week (Thursday, May 7, 2015 to Saturday, May 9, 2015, in Vienna, Austria)? Maybe one of the Brno folks, given the geographic proximity? I would, but as I haven't even tried Plasma 5 yet, I'm probably not the right person. The Vienna Linux Week is the Vienna event of the annual Austrian Linux Weeks (Linuxwochen), it is taking place at the Fachhochschule (FH) Technikum Wien: http://www.linuxwochen.at/wien-anreise There are NO conference or entrance fees, neither for speakers nor for visitors. (Obviously, this does not include travel and accomodation. You can check with the EMEA Ambassadors and/or with your employer whether they can fund your travel expenses or not.) The deadline for talk proposals is March 15, that's Sunday of this week (!). http://www.linuxwochen.at/Wien/ https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Linuxwochen_Wien_2015 Talks can be in either German or English. I also don't know whether anybody from some other distro or from KDE upstream is also planning to talk about Plasma 5. But from us in Fedora, apparently not (see the wiki link above). I submitted a talk about Calamares, let's see whether they'll accept it. But I will be attending either way and also bringing in some hand-burned Fedora KDE DVD+Rs to hand out.
