I used to have an akonadi console icon, which came up when I typed "akonadi" in f->Applications. I assumed it had disappeared until I read "I just had a go at adding top level IMAP folders in akonadiconsole, and it works fine" in a recent post from a KDE user. I used to employ it when KMail brought up the message "Retrieving Folder Contents Please wait" which otherwise continues waiting indefinitely. I take it from the posting above that akonadiconsole still exists?
