close.  systemsettings->workspace behavior->screen edges

Thanks, that worked. Not sure why this counts as workspace behaviour.

I think it is because the screen area is considered the workspace. So what happens to a window when it approaches the screen edge is considered a function of the workspace even though the action happens on the window. Maybe. :-)
