I decided to forgo the legacy method addressed by 267195 and go ahead and install libappindicator so I'd start using the status notifier method; since that is where we're all going to end up anyway.

FYI, the current plan is that F21 will be providing Plasma 5 (apparently,
that's now the official name) only in an unofficial add-on repository (in
Copr and/or on kde-redhat), and it will only become the default in F22.
