I have another system with nvidia graphics, using nouveau, and it works fine, no crashes. I asked on #intel-gfx, they say it is fixed, I think few days ago? (but I think still not released in some bugfix update to mesa). But still I'm not sure is that bug introduced in newer mesa-10.0.x/10.1.x updates, or some changes in kde triggers it.
