Hi,

it's a known bug that happens from time to time, but we were not able to 
determine what exactly is causing it. There was a patch for KMail yesterday 
[0], [1] that was dealing with a slightly different issue, but might fix this 
problem too, or at least improve the situation. The patch will be available in 
KDE 4.12.
