Recently I've noticed that when I click on a folder in konqueror it pops up a new window. I've verified the "Open folders in separate windows" item is not checked. I can also see in the konquerorrc file that "AlwaysNewWin" = false. Has anyone else seen this? It is interseting that I am not seeing this on my wife's system. Both are fully updated to 4.9.3 on Fedora 17. Emmett
I found that using konqueror as root, when clicking on a directory a new window was not raised. I also noticed that as my user, clicking on a directory would raise dolphin. It turns out that the konqueror app to load for type "inodes, directory" did not exist for my user. So I copied the way it was configured by the root user and now it does the right thing. That object uses kfmclient to load konqueror. I cannot imagine how that entry got deleted.
