someobdy may create a file and test to rename it in the way put date/time at the begin "this-is-a-really-dmaned-long-filename-2012_10_04_20_09.txt" how can anybody imagine that this has a better usability in a inline-input where you have to scroll left/right before 4.9 there was a option for konqueror to restore the old behavior, folderview did ignore it and was unuseable for folderview this becomes even worser than for konqueror because you have filenames over multiple lines because the lack of a list-view ______________ MANY YEARS I LAUGHED ABOUT WINDOWS why? because they had a inline rename while the kde way was so much more user friendly to see now that kde goes the same unuseable way :-( DEAR DEVELOPERS: do not fix things that ain't broken
