"Display events" is for KOrganizer events, it has absolutely nothing to do
with holidays.

That one indeed looks like a bug, it always worked for me… Are you sure
you're using it correctly? When I set everything to "not used", I don't get
any holidays displayed on this F15 4.6.5.
