Bug in Kwin + nVidia, is it possible to backport the fix?

There are a bug in Kwin when using nVidia + TwinView + 2 monitors with differents resolutions, see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=286146 and https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=285967

Thomas Lübking has commited a fix into branch 'master' (see http://commits.kde.org/kde-workspace/c64f22c20ba8947ff1259ad2b3d14037f671f7d7), but AFAIK it's not backported to other branches. Is is possible to apply it to KDE 4.7.3 in Fedora? It's really annoying to have Kwin forgetting windows sizes and opening it semi-maximized all the time.
