I met that problem once. It should be easy to resolve, though. Bookmarks -> Show all Bookmarks - this brings up what used to be called the bookmark editor. Under All Bookmarks, you should have Bookmarks Toolbar. Drag all the things you want to see on the toolbar into that folder, then all should be well.
