Just FYI Kontact 4.4.11 has no problems running on top of SC 4.7 and Akonadi 1.6. I currently use that "bastard" setup on openSUSE but on Fedora it should be similar. On openSUSE the packages to downgrade and then to lock from updates are akregator, blogilo, kaddressbook, kdepim4, kmail, kontact, korganizer, and libkdepim4.
