The disks don't appear there either.  I'll dig down the pile - I have an 
almost complete pack of 50, so finding a disk that has never been put in the 
drive wouldn't be too difficult.

I didn't think of the CD +R thing, but I think you are right.  I'll see what I 
can find with different disks.
