Its the gecko-mediaplayer plugin that is causing the problem for me. That plugin was recently un-blacklisted in the chrome dev builds (as previously it would cause hangs). It seems to be fine under gnome but not under kde. I wonder whats going on there? Maybe I'll ask on the gecko-mediaplayer list. Thanks again.
