I'm running Fedora 14 and I have the exact same problem. From log/messages I can
see the following:

<info> Starting VPN service 'pptp'...
<info> VPN service 'pptp' started (org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.pptp), PID
31384
<info> VPN service 'pptp' appeared; activating connections
<info> VPN plugin state changed: 1
<info> VPN plugin state changed: 3
<info> VPN connection '247e' (Connect) reply received.
<warn> VPN connection '247e' failed to connect: 'No VPN secrets!'.
<warn> error disconnecting VPN: Could not process the request because no VPN
connection was active.
<info> Policy set 'Wired' (eth0) as default for IPv4 routing and DNS.

I can provide further information and testing if needed.
