Nevermind, looks like support is there, see
https://bugs.kde.org/250130

and I confirmed that it works for me using:
kdeplasma-addons-4.5.2-1.fc13.x86_64

you may need to re-enter your auth credentials to get it to use the new
oauth though (if you had it setup previously, prior to twitter's switch).
