Proprietary software sucks! :-( (BTW, I strongly recommend against using Skype: not only do you use proprietary software yourself by using it, you also force other people to use proprietary software, since there is no Free interoperable client. You should get your friends to use open standards such as SIP instead, there are plenty of clients for the SIP protocol.)
