Now you've confused me. Are you not running a mail server on your server? I run dovecot on mine. However, this doesn't really matter, since the distribution list (in the old sense) is purely an addressbook function, now named Groups. If you need any more details on the Groups function, just ask, though there isn't much more to be said.
