seems which the blacklist got in effect from kde 4.5 rc2 (maybe I'm
wrong) to have Desktop Effects enabled in majority of machines.

because in KDE 4.4.90 (was it RC1? ) that setting was disabled too in my
case and no notifications about disabled Desktop Effects appeared, well
in 4.4.90 kwin crashed two or three times by day when using Desktop Grid
and sometimes the Blur Effect was disabled upon kwin restart

but in 4.4.92 after two hours no kwin crashes and my desktop effects are
working perfectly.
