OT, but many years ago (before everyone had their own computer) I was
talking to some students after my Operating Systems class and had the
following exchange with one of them:

Student: Prof, these floppies are square, right?
Me (cautiously): Yes ...
Student: But they go round and round!

I was tempted to explain that in fact the head moves very quickly in a
square pattern, but I took pity on her :-)
