... and why is it throttling my processor for five minutes after every boot? Mainly halting one of the processors for I/O waiting (according to top and iotop). Yum says it belongs to kdelibs package. So what is it for? Is it necessary, can it be shut down or rescheduled or something, is it configurable, what is its purpose? I am not rebooting that often, but when I do, I am a bit annoyed by this. OS itself boots quite quickly and I am very happy with that, but when KDE starts up, it hogs the machine for several minutes before it becomes usable. So what's the story here? Best, :-) Marko P.S.
