Actually, I seem to have found a simpler solution in my case, after looking through the many bugzilla comments to <https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=186502>. As far as I can see, the problem has disappeared (in my case) after changing from Fancy Headers to Brief Headers.
