I found this confusing also.  It wasn't clear to me what the interaction 
between pavucontrol and kmix would be.  I noticed my system sounds had 
somehow gotten set low in pavucontrol, and turned them up.  But, will this 
keep it permanently set that way, regardless of kmix?
