okular swallowed by firefox with mozplugger doesnt get keyboard events

Hi

I'd really appreciate like some help to progress this issue which has
been present since the kde 4.4 release. Any advice or pointers would be
welcome.

The problem is that when using mozplugger to get firefox to swallow
okular as the pdf reader of choice, keyboard events are not passed
through to okular. This means, at least, that you can't search documents
or use keyboard shortcuts. Mouse events are passed fine.

This is seen on Fedora 12 x86_64:

firefox-3.5.6-1.fc12.x86_64
mozplugger-1.12.1-7.fc12.x86_64
and
linux> okular --version
Qt: 4.5.3
KDE: 4.3.5 (KDE 4.3.5)
Okular: 0.9.5

Actually, the issue seems to be wider than just okular and may apply to
qt4 applications in general. It wasnt a problem with kde3/qt3 though.

This issue has been reported variously at:

https://www.mozdev.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=19196
https://www.mozdev.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=22359

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172858 (comments 14, 15)

http://qt.nokia.com/developer/task-tracker/index_html?method=entry&id=249189
http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-3814

In the course of reviewing this I couldn't find a Fedora bug about it so
I've opened one at:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=563124

You'll see that the original qt issue was opened in March 2009.

Any help progressing this issue or advice on refocussing it to a more
appropriate forum would be appreciated.

Thanks

Roderick
