Hi all, OK I found the problem I had with Desktop effects not working. Looking in the .imsettings.log I noticed "DESKTOP_SESSION: kde-safe" was set, further checking of the .dmrc confirmed this. So logged out, removed those two files, set the desktop as KDE and all is well. What puzzles me is I have never chose the option kde-safe before, perhaps something set this.. who knows :) Cheers Colin -- Fedora release 12 (Constantine) Registered Linux user number #342953
