Desktop effects question (nVidia)

Most puzzling, I knew about this problem and have the patched xorg-x11 
files 
from Koji. Driver is enabled all the correct options are set in my 
xorg.conf

The card is a GeForce 7800 GS, I am at a loss at the moment,
