How to get UK country defaults?

For what it's worth, my kdeglobals has:
[Locale]
Country=gb
Language=

Under system-settings, I have United Kingdom as "Country or Region"
and -- oops, I just noticed -- no specific language set. Time to
install kde-i18n-British ...

Anyway, based on that it looks like gb *is* the correct country code to use.
