Hmm - this must be a new feature - I've not come across it before (possibly because I don't need custom templates). Looking at the folder properties, then, I see what appears to be the global templates, greyed out. Setting it to use custom templates, they show as active, and can be edited. There is also a button to copy global templates. It looks to me as though the global templates should be used if no custom template is set. Is that correct? I can confirm that it works, if I enable custom templates, but it would be a real pain to have to go through my long, long list of folders making that change.
