So then I'm left wanting a simple up > button. Na, there is a little icon left of the bar edit line. Klick it and you get the breadcrumbs are back (at least with KDE 4.2). And for the up-arrow, you can configure your toolbar (left click on the toolbar bar and chose the configure menu entry). Martin
