That's true. I had a similar issue when during the BETA / RC stage of the 
transition from 4.1 to 4.2. I had this issue once. I've been working trouble 
free ever since. There does appear to problems transisitoning from 4.1 to 4.2.

It just so that fortunately the fixes seem to be simple and least for me, they 
haven't done that damage.

Look I'm just as frustrated as anyone else but, we are in the middle of a huge 
transition. And for me what I have working with KDE 4.2 is still better than 
Gnome. However, if things don't get better by the time that 4.3 comes along I 
will certainly be giving Gnome another look. I do need things to be stable 
just like everybody else.
