It seems to me that calling pinentry is the first stage of the actual send. Once it gets to that stage things happen quickly. I've sent just one since the 14-second one, and that took 8 seconds. We'll see how long this one takes. I've turned off signing, so that it keeps everything as simple as possible. Anne
