It shouldn't make any difference.  It seems to me that calling pinentry is the 
first stage of the actual send.  Once it gets to that stage things happen 
quickly.  I've sent just one since the 14-second one, and that took 8 seconds.  
We'll see how long this one takes.  I've turned  off signing, so that it keeps 
everything as simple as possible.
