Hi Agustin,
I’m fairly new around here myself, but here are some answers to your questions.
1. A good starting point is to look at the issues marked as "easyfix” [1]
2. I use IRCCloud [2]; they have free and pay plans
3. For the email alias to be active, you need to have signed the CLA and be part of a non-CLA group [3]
