Bodhi uses createrepo_c both through pungi (to create the bulk of the repository) and through the createrepo_c Python bindings (to generate the updateinfo.xml file). Is there a way to ask the Python bindings to do this? The Fedora 29 updateinfo.xml file looks like it's only about 1 MB for x86_64 right now, so maybe it's not as crucial. (F28 is 2.1 MB.)
