In the past we had 'FIGs' (Functional Interest Groups) which allowed apprentices to focus on some area (like monitoring or some specific app, etc). In practice that ended up mostly being sysadmin-noc that everyone got added to. One thing to keep in mind is that it's not really about groups or privs you have, those are more secondary to getting things done, but I agree it would be nice to have a more formal process or milestones for apprentices to know when they are 'graduated'. Open to ideas, lets here em! kevin
