Yeah, I'm always unsure of where the line is for stuff like this.
Since nagios is prod, a misconfiguration could affect knowing if
something in prod is down. But it's a similar thing with DNS and other
things. I probably wouldn't think anything of changing a stg DNS
record during freeze, but similarly, if a typo broke a zonefile or
something, it could potentially bring things down. So I'm not sure.
