Hi Ben, Welcome and I'm sure some of the seasoned Admins here will reply soon. In the meantime here some advices for you from an apprentice as well (I joined a couple of weeks ago). There is a meeting every Thursday at 7pm UTC on Freenode #fedora-admin. I should be able to join this week so see you there. Also, # Infra Trouble Ticketing System # Infra Documentation and SOPs # Fedora Status # Infra Architecture # The Apprentice program # Infra Ansible GIT # Fedora Security Policies These are the resources/docs I've read so far to get a better understanding of the infrastructure. So, I guess it would be a good start for you too. Along with one other admin we support roughly 40 Linux servers that are mostly CentOS, but a couple old Suse boxes mixed in for flavor. I've played with Linux on and off since 2003 but only got real serious in the past two years. I'm a definite Fedora/Red Hat fanboy and am keenly interested in learning and gaining more experience administrating linux servers as well as BASH and Python. I am not certain of where to start but I'd assume if-apprentice but I'll gladly take suggestions from those who know more. Thanks!
