20:02 < mmcgrath> Ok, lets get started.
20:02 < mmcgrath> This should probably be quick.
20:02 < smooge> for i in $SYSADMIN_LIST; do { ping $i; if $? == pong continue}'
20:02 < mmcgrath> #topic Beta tickets
20:02 -!- zodbot changed the topic of #fedora-meeting to: Beta tickets
20:02 < mmcgrath> .ticket 1709
20:02 < zodbot> mmcgrath: #1709 (f12-beta website) - Fedora Infrastructure - Trac - https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/1709
20:02 < mmcgrath> AFAIK that's well under way though still not using mizmo 's markups.
20:03 < mmcgrath> .ticket 1710
20:03 < zodbot> mmcgrath: #1710 (Verify Mirror Space) - Fedora Infrastructure - Trac - https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/1710
20:03 < mmcgrath> smooge: any word on that?
20:03 < mmcgrath> basically we usually ping Oxf13 to find out how much he needs and then make sure we have that.
20:03 < mmcgrath> the *trick* is to make sure that content stays under 1T of data
20:03 < Oxf13> hrm, yeah
20:03 < mmcgrath> That's a new self-imposed rule of ours.
20:04 < Oxf13> so I'd say take the size of F11, increase it by 10% and use that as a good guess
20:04 < mmcgrath> Oxf13: what's different from the alpha?
20:04 < mmcgrath> we have spins we didn't before?
20:04 < Oxf13> oh wait
20:04 < Oxf13> sorry, you're asking about Beta, not final
20:04 < Oxf13> Beta should be roughly the same size as Alpha
20:04 < mmcgrath> yeah still on the Final for now.
20:04 < mmcgrath> k.
20:04 < mmcgrath> smooge: so go ahead and update the ticket with that info and make sure we're not going overboard.
20:05 < smooge> ok I will do so.
20:05 < mmcgrath> excellent
20:05 < mmcgrath> .ticket 1711
20:05 < zodbot> mmcgrath: #1711 (Release day ticket) - Fedora Infrastructure - Trac - https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/1711
20:05 < mmcgrath> that's just the tracker bug
20:05 * mmcgrath is looking at
20:05 < mmcgrath> #link https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/report/9
20:05 < mmcgrath> btw
20:05 < mmcgrath> #action Smooge will update the ticket and check on mirror space for the beta
20:05 * mmcgrath thinks those work :)
20:06 < mmcgrath> .ticket 1712
20:06 < zodbot> mmcgrath: #1712 (verify releng permissions) - Fedora Infrastructure - Trac - https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/1712
20:06 < mmcgrath> smooge: that's another one that's assigned to you. It's got two steps. First is when releng stages the content, next is when it is made available on release day.
20:06 < mmcgrath> nothing to do atm.
20:06 < mmcgrath> .ticket 1713
20:06 < zodbot> mmcgrath: #1713 (MM Redirects) - Fedora Infrastructure - Trac - https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/1713
20:06 < mmcgrath> mdomsch: has that all closed already (woot)
20:06 < mmcgrath> .ticket 1715
20:06 < zodbot> mmcgrath: #1715 (Lessons Learned) - Fedora Infrastructure - Trac - https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/1715
20:06 -!- ggruener [n=ggruener@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] has joined #fedora-meeting
20:06 < mmcgrath> this is a "after the Beta" ticket so there's nothing to do there.
20:07 < mmcgrath> Also as you note the beta slipped.
20:07 < mmcgrath> #info The new beta release day is 2009-10-20
20:07 < mmcgrath> #info this also means our change freeze is extended by a week.
20:07 < mmcgrath> Ok, anyone have any questions or comments on the beta?
20:08 < smooge> not at the moemnt
20:09 < mmcgrath> alllrighty
20:09 < mmcgrath> #topic Cloud Stuff
20:09 -!- zodbot changed the topic of #fedora-meeting to: Cloud Stuff
20:09 < mmcgrath> So the Cumulus work is going along.
20:09 < mmcgrath> people have their guests.
20:09 < mmcgrath> #info If you have lost access to your guest, come contact me to fix it.
20:10 < mmcgrath> We're waiting on a few key changes to go in that are causing several issues.
20:10 < mmcgrath> It means a lot of juggling.
20:10 < mmcgrath> I've also been doing work on getting stateless guests to work as that's one of the use cases that was discussed.
20:10 < mmcgrath> Anyone who does not have a guest that would like one?
20:11 < mmcgrath> allright :)
20:11 < mmcgrath> #topic Asterisk FAD
20:11 -!- zodbot changed the topic of #fedora-meeting to: Asterisk FAD
20:12 < mmcgrath> So this is one of those things that's sort of jumped out of normal infrastructure view and into a small team of people to get it done.
20:12 < mmcgrath> which is an excellent idea.
20:12 < smooge> I would like a guest.
20:12 < mmcgrath> the discussion has been going on with F-I-L
20:12 < smooge> I have to figure out what I want to do with it though
20:12 < mmcgrath> smooge: excellent, ping me after the meeting and I'll get one setup for you.
20:12 < mmcgrath> smooge: seti@home?
20:12 < mmcgrath> :)
20:12 < smooge> oh I was thinking of cracking DES hashes but ok
20:13 < mmcgrath> I'm working on getting something rawhide(ish) going but have been running into issues.
20:13 < smooge> what is the plan for this...
20:13 -!- pwbarnes [n=pwbarnes@fedora/nman64] has quit Remote closed the connection
20:13 < smooge> asterisk2 gets working/stabilized and asterisk1 gets updated when that happens?
20:13 < mmcgrath> #info I've opened 528053 about this
20:14 < mmcgrath> smooge: yeah.
20:14 < mmcgrath> for some hosts, like hosted[12] collab[12] and asterisk[12]
20:14 < mmcgrath> the 1 node is the active node.
20:14 < mmcgrath> the other one is a backup.
20:14 < mmcgrath> but we also use it for new integration and such.
20:14 < mmcgrath> But this is going to be a pretty major overhaul of not just what asterisk is doing but what the host is doing.
20:15 < mmcgrath> so asterisk1 will be completely blown away at some point.
20:15 < mmcgrath> Anyone have any questions on this?
20:16 -!- fbijlsma [n=fbijlsma@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] has quit "Leaving"
20:16 < mmcgrath> Allrighty
20:16 < mmcgrath> #topic Search Engine
20:16 -!- zodbot changed the topic of #fedora-meeting to: Search Engine
20:16 < mmcgrath> a-k: you want to take this one?
20:17 < a-k> Sure. huzifas and I chatted breifly yesterday. We split the 4 suggestions from ianweller between us. There's a wiki page to track out work. We'll reconnect on Tuesday to see how it's going.
20:17 < a-k> https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infrastructure/Search for those who want to see it.
20:17 < a-k> I've got a question, though.
20:17 < a-k> Does anyone know how much affix has worked on it? According to nickserv affix was "last seen : Oct 02 19:54:36 2009 (6 days, 00:07:44 ago)"
20:17 < mmcgrath> a-k: not very long, he would have accepted the ticket on....
20:18 * mmcgrath is looking
20:18 -!- inode0 [n=inode0@fedora/inode0] has joined #fedora-meeting
20:18 < mmcgrath> less than a month ago.
20:18 < mmcgrath> and I know affix has been working on other things as well so this may have been moved to his back burner.
20:18 < mmcgrath> a-k: have you had any luck getting ahold of him?
20:18 < a-k> Nope.
20:19 < a-k> I'm disinclined to just take it from him, in case he's actually done something.
20:19 < a-k> Suggestions?
20:19 < mmcgrath> a-k: well, if he still hasn't gotten back to you after a week go ahead and take it. For now though move forward with your work, test some out.
20:20 < a-k> Roger.
20:20 < mmcgrath> Worst case, we have two people with knowledge about the same engines.
20:20 < mmcgrath> a-k: can you think of anything else worth mentioning on that?
20:20 < a-k> No. Neither huzifas have probably gotten very far since yesterday.
20:21 < a-k> oops + nor I
20:21 < mmcgrath> a-k: no worries, thanks for looking into it.
20:21 < mmcgrath> And that's really it since we're change frozen at the moment.
20:21 < mmcgrath> #topic Open Floor
20:21 -!- zodbot changed the topic of #fedora-meeting to: Open Floor
20:21 < mmcgrath> anyone have anything they'd like to discuss?
20:21 < ianweller> at some point tonight or tomorrow i'll be sending out a change request for the licensing change of the wiki.
20:22 < ianweller> it's a small patch to the localsettings.php file in puppet
20:22 < mmcgrath> ianweller: how hard will that be? templates change or config change or what?
20:22 < mmcgrath> ah, excellent.
20:22 < ianweller> although
20:22 < ianweller> it kinda looks ugly on 1024px wide monitors ^_^
20:22 < ianweller> it's live now https://stg.fedoraproject.org/wiki/Main_Page
20:22 < ianweller> and by 'live' i mean 'live on staging'
20:23 < mmcgrath> <nod>
20:23 < mmcgrath> ianweller: anything else?
20:23 < ianweller> newp.
20:23 < ianweller> i should also run it by spot
20:24 < mmcgrath> ianweller: yeah, he likes to be kept up to date on that stuff. Send him the staging site and make sure it's all good before we do it in production.
20:24 < mmcgrath> Ok, well that's all I've got.
20:24 < mmcgrath> #action Ianweller will run the wiki license change by spot
20:25 < mmcgrath> #action sometime soon we'll be changing the license in production
20:25 < abadger1999> Mention phx2 change of schedules?
20:25 < mmcgrath> ah yes
20:25 < mmcgrath> #info The PHX1 -> PHX2 migration now has a deadline of the end of December.
20:25 < smooge> woohoo
20:25 < mmcgrath> I can't say this is a slip because we've never actually scheduled a time to do this yet.
20:25 < smooge> I can spend Xmas in Phoenix
20:25 < mmcgrath> but this does mean that if the release slips, it won't have an impact on the move.
20:26 < smooge> oh darn I said that out loud
20:26 < mmcgrath> heheheh
20:27 < mmcgrath> Ok, if no one has anything else we'll close in 30
20:27 * mmcgrath also notes hardware has started to arrive in PHX2 (new hardware) but none is installed yet.
20:28 < mmcgrath> alrighty
20:28 < mmcgrath> #endmeeting
