Hi Sachin,

Yes, definitely typing booster is very useful for users and i think it is future of indian input method.
In future i will add typewriter layout as well in it.

Just checked we do not have typewriter layout for marathi in m17n-db, but we do have typewriter and remignoton layout for hindi language. Kindly test it and let me know your comment about it.

right click on ibus, go to preferences and add hindi typewriter layout and restart it.
most of the bugs for remignton are fixed check http://pravin-s.blogspot.com/2010/05/recent-fixes-to-hiremignton-mim-file.html

added i18n list in cc, you can ask your query here https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/i18n

Best Regards,
Pravin S

Subject: Help regarding Marathi typewriter keyboard layout for Fedora 15 x86-64 bit (GNOME 3)

Dear Sir,
I visited the Fedora Wiki page of the indic-typing-booster and I was very impressed by its scope and usefulness.
However, many of the Indian language typists and users of wordprocessors learn typing with a Typewriter keyboard layout and they find it very inconvenient to switch to either phonetic or inscript layouts. Years of practice and habit of using typewriter keyboard layout makes this even more difficult. Hence, I was looking for a Linux solution which may facilitate me (and indeed thousands of others like me) to type on Linux OS with a typewriter layout. C-DAC, the Indian premier institute in the field of computer solutions has created a beta application called 'LISM' which has the typewriter keyboard layout (Free to use). But somehow I haven't been able to successfully install and use it on my Fedora core 15 64 bit laptop.
In this connection can I request you to kindly guide me regarding my search in any way? Any help will be highly and eagerly appreciated.
With thanks in advance.
