Comment:

I'm giving some thoughts about this. It seems that it is not as simple as
it may seem for us, since we do have to as least try to synthesize the IP
 cores with Alliance.

Hence, whatever scripts or makefile which should be in opencores.org-
common should most probably be in fel-common, thereby ensuring[[BR]]
 - the IP core compiles with either ghdl or iverilog and waves can be
 viewed with GTKwave[[BR]]
 - the IP core be synthesized with Alliance[[BR]]
 - Magic/Electric should be able to read its GDSII file generated by
 Alliance[[BR]]
 - A Xcircuit symbol should also be auto-created by some scripts

This will lead to develop additional scripts e.g a script which converts a
Modelsim .do file into a possible .do for GTKwave to load the waves. Many
opencores projects use modelsim and provide modelsim *.do files, we ought
to provide a simple equivalent at least.

I think this opencores.org-common would most probably be renamed into
free-electronic-lab-common, if we are going further in being an opensource
 IP provider.
