[Fedora-directory-devel] Help needed for Samba4 backend

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I need a few pointers, so I can try and proceed with Samba4's LDAP
backend. I've been working with the OpenLDAP crew for a few weeks now
on issues that have cropped up against that platform, and I want to
spend some time making Fedora DS play ball again.

The biggest issue I have is that the Samba4 test 'ldap.js' fails
miserably, due to a number of things, some known and some I'll fill out
reports for.

For example, I have bug
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=247413

I suspect this one hits up Fedora DS's enterprise footings - I suppose I
would be nervous changing return codes too. But as it is, this is the
first of many issues that I hit.

Is there a sane way to get this bug fixed?

I also need subtree renames, and modrdn with new suprior. (The latter is
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=213919 )

I know this is a lot of work, but it is one of the many things I would
rather not have to add special 'Fedora DS can't cope with' special cases
for.

Fedora DS seems to suffer from the same bug as OpenLDAP ITS
