I'm seeing more and more Catalyst packages test_requiring Test::Simple or Test::More 0.88... I suspect we ought to think about upgrading to it; especially as 0.89 is going to have some nifty new features. Some (like Catalyst::Runtime 5.80007) just claim to need it, some actually do (e.g. CatalystX::LeakChecker, which the previous module has as an optional test dep).
I'll file a bug for better tracking if you want :)
