glob <byron@xxxxxxxxxxx> changed:

here's what i said on the bmo bug:

that's odd -- autodie is a perl core module:

> ~$ corelist autodie
> Data for 2014-10-01
> autodie was first released with perl v5.10.1

on fedora 20 perl-core requires perl-autodie to be installed:

> ~$ repoquery --whatrequires perl-autodie | grep perl-core
> perl-core-0:5.18.1-288.fc20.x86_64
> perl-core-0:5.18.4-291.fc20.x86_64
> ~$ yum deplist perl-core | grep autodie
> dependency: perl-autodie
> provider: perl-autodie.noarch 2.20-4.fc20

this appears to be an issue with your server, not with bugzilla's dependencies.

then from irc:

<eseyman> glob : installing all of core requires installing glibc-devel and
kernel-devel (kernel-source ?)
<eseyman> most Fedora users don't want that
<glob> eseyman, i still think that's a fedora issue ;)
<eseyman> oh, it is
<eseyman> that's why I've filed a bug in brc
