There are some backwards-incompatible changes in jpackage-utils that I have planned to implement in Fedora 20. Fedora 19 and older won't be affected. If you don't agree with the any of the changes or have any comments, please speak up. %add_to_maven_depmap and %update_maven_depmap macros will be removed. These macros have been obsolete for long time. Their usage prevents Fedora from implementing some features related to Maven metadata. Packages using these macros will have to be ported to use %add_maven_depmap or they will fail to build.
There are still some packages which use these macros in Fedora, but if you could push your changes before mass rebuild, we will be able to easily identify and fix such packages.
maven2jpp-mapdeps.xsl template will be removed. This template hasn't been used for long time. XMvn has its own way of mapping dependencies. To best of my knowledge nothing in Fedora uses this template. Macros related to installation of icons and desktop files will be removed. They are out of scope of jpackage-utils -- standard Fedora macros should be used instead. As far as I know these macros are rarely used (if used at all), so I don't expect this to be a problem.
