Yes, sou are right, my apologies. I was aware that separate eclipse guideline existed, but I didn't know that it was part of official packaging guideline (i.e. linked from the main page). Java and Eclipse guidelines are in conflict. After I was made aware that the Eclipse guideline is official I believe that it should take precedence over Java packaging guideline. This makes bugs I reported invalid and as such I closed them.
